Meet the team

Becky and Sue founded the business in 2010, having a love of paella and at the time they owned an Italian deli in Lostwithiel. One sunny day Sue decided to cook a paella on the pavement outside the deli (mostly to entertain herself. ) Suddenly there were a queue of people, asking if they could buy some paella. A business was born! 

Growing  from one pan we now have over 140 pans of varying sizes. Ben, who is Becky’s son joined the business 7 years ago  at 19 years old. His enthusiasm, younger persons perspective and (dare we say)  muscles have been a major contribution to the increased success of the business. As Sue and Becky were getting very old, Katie (Ben’s sister) joined to help continue to drive the business forward. Now we are moving onto the next generation as Jamie, Becky’s 17 year old grandson works in the business in his spare time.

Here at Bigpanparties , we have a fab team,  which grows and grows during our busy summer period. Here’s a few of our full time team.

Katie

JOB TITLE: Partner , Events leader and full time mother!

ABOUT KATE: Kate loves being outdoors whether it’s beach walks, running or spending time with her two girls.

FAVOURITE BIG PAN DISH:  Thai veg curry. Enjoys all the big pan veggie dishes which her carnivore husband doesn’t really appreciate!

Ben

JOB TITLE: Partner and Events leader 

ABOUT BEN: Ben is the youngest member of the partners and is now the major player in the business. An ex-rugby player but now loves running, eating a lot and drinking flat whites.

FAVOURITE BIG PAN DISH: Katsu curry

Lucy

JOB TITLE: Events leader 

ABOUT LUCY: The only thing Lucy loves more than our big pan dishes is her dog Barney and being outdoors!

FAVOURITE BIG PAN DISH: Butternut squash and coconut Dahl 

Charlie

JOB TITLE:  Social media manager & Harlyn manager

ABOUT CHARLIE: He loves travelling, tasting different dishes from around the world and bringing back new ideas. 

FAVOURITE BIG PAN DISH: Thai chicken curry

Becky

JOB TITLE: Co-founder & Partner

ABOUT BECKY: Still as good at lifting the big pans as our younger ones and enjoys making the Cottage pie (because she loves using the flame thrower.)

FAVOURITE BIG PAN DISH: Beef goulash 

  Debs

JOB TITLE: Events admin

ABOUT DEBS: Debs enjoys holidays and drinking gin in the sun (don't we all!)

FAVOURITE BIG PAN DISH: Tartiflette 

Sue

JOB TITLE: Co-founder & Partner

ABOUT SUE: Sue is the founder of the business, now retired but still likes to interfere!  She loves cuddling  her dogs and cooking for the family.
